HAHA. I disdained Oprah before, but now I think she is actually very likeable after being forced to sit through a few episodes with my mum...

Yeah.. I had similar feeling about Ellen Degeneres, actually.
A stimulus package is an injection of money (usually by the government) into an economy to encourage spending/ consumption.
so by your definition , oprah is "an injection of money (usually by the government) into an economy to encourage spending/ consumption."? haha.

I think she's more of encouraging spending/ consumption per se, but she gives away moolah quite freely too. You can look at it whichever way, really.
